Relm is a research-centred think tank focusing on shifting policy based on lived-experience.

Relm is a behavioural science research initiative exploring how individuals make decisions in complex environments and how behavioural insights can inform more effective policy, programmes, and interventions.

Relm applies behavioural economics and psychology to understand decision-making across areas related to financial wellbeing, financial literacy, and everyday financial behaviour. The research focuses on how individuals engage with information, navigate choices, and respond to interventions designed to improve outcomes.

Relm’s work centres on:

• Behavioural research on decision-making and outcomes
• Design and evaluation of behavioural interventions
• Evidence-informed insights for policy and programme development

Relm’s expertise is grounded in financial literacy and financial decision-making, while also contributing to broader discussions on behavioural policy design and applied behavioural research. This approach allows Relm to examine financial behaviour within wider decision-making contexts and develop insights that extend beyond traditional financial education models.

Relm publishes research-led insights and is developing a programme of work exploring behavioural approaches to decision-making, financial wellbeing, and intervention design.
